Magical Weekend with 'Stellar Expressions' - Sharing Time with Special Kids

How was your weekend spent? Binging shows, shopping, or relaxing? Meanwhile, friends at UNITED ONE had a meaningful weekend at the Stellar Expression Children's Center, spending quality time with special kids.

Teams quickly formed upon arrival, with each pair caring for a special child.  Some had autism, ADHD, or intellectual disabilities.  

Despite differences, their innocence and excitement were evident.

Our 'Magic Interaction Time' included music, dancing, and games to engage the children, who sometimes needed creative methods to

stay involved, like funny faces, stories, and toys from our volunteers.

The morning flew by quickly.  Despite feeling exhausted and sweaty, seeing the children's happy faces filled us with a sense of accomplishment.  After the activity, we gathered to share experiences.  Some mentioned their first encounter with such a group, understanding the challenges faced by parents and teachers.  Others shared personal connections, like having an autistic sibling and hoping to learn more about interacting with such children.

Overall, the event deepened our understanding of these special children and reminded us of the importance of love and support for vulnerable groups in society.  Let's continue to spread love and bring hope to those in need.
